Position Purpose


As part of a dynamic team your duties will rotate to all operational areas, initially focusing on many of the following: Fabrication of new propriety equipment. Maintain facility analytical equipment as well all associated instrumentation. Aid in the development, implementation and modification of onsite water treatment systems. Monitoring and operating equipment to achieve maximum efficiency, reliability and safety. Liaison both internally and externally with personnel of various functional backgrounds. Participate and assist in the development & implementation of team strategy and operational plans.

This function will initially have two areas of primary responsibilities and activities; 1) equipment refurbishing support 2) field operations support.  Daily activities will include, but not limited to mobilizing/demobilizing project sites with equipment, building new product for production and performing monitoring/maintenance on in-service equipment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages multiple competing priorities on a daily basis and regularly negotiates revised timelines.   
Evaluates, troubleshoots medium to complex mechanical/electrical systems and provides fixes, solutions, improvements or work-around.
Listens and evaluates client requirements and issues and provides a diagnosis in a professional manner (written or oral)

 Functional, Technical & Personal Skill Requirements

Functional Skills

  • Strong understanding of mechanical/electrical installation and troubleshooting (i.e. Apprentice Electrician).
  • Intermediate understanding and use of established safety practices.
  • Intermediate ability to read and interpret customer documentation, specifications, prints and drawings.
  • Intermediate ability to perform a series of procedural steps, detect and resolve errors.
  • Advanced knowledge of use of tools and equipment; intermediate ability to perform power verification on installed and/or existing hardware, functional and performance evaluations of customer.

Technical Skills

  • Strong skills and ability using various power tools, mechanical/electrical devices.
  • Field experience and direct client relations (1 year hands-on experience).

Personal Skills

  • Detail-oriented; demonstrated willingness and ability to learn; intermediate customer service skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Understanding of basic business principles and how to maximize value.
  • Enthusiastic about change and continuous improvement. Open to new ideas and ways of doing things.
  • Willingness overcome traditional, functional roles and to perform multi-functional duties.
  • Ability to coordinate various work activities and function within tight time schedules.
  • Education & Experience (Relevant work experience, education and specialized training required to successfully perform job.)
  • Preference to candidate with Electrician Apprentice or Journeyman certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of technical vocation or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance in good standing
  • High School Diploma
  • Environmental/Physical Demands (Identify any environmental or physical demands associated with performing the duties of this position)
  • Must be able to lift/carry materials up to a maximum of 75lbs, move about an uneven outdoor site.
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively on the telephone or in person, and complete required paperwork.
  • Subject to long, irregular hours. Requires extended periods of crawling, climbing, bending, pulling, working in tight places, walking and standing, up to 100% of a workday. 
  • Work conditions will vary with duty and responsibilities and will require outside activity, sometimes during heavy rain and/or freezing temperatures. 
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 35% of the time.
